112TH COMMEMORATION OF THE 1914 RESTORATION OF BENIN KINGSHIP HELD IN BENIN CITY, NIGERIA | JULY 24 – 26, 2026

The 112th Commemoration of the Restoration of Benin Kingship was successfully held in Benin City from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th July, 2026. The 3-day event featured a thanksgiving service, symposium with panel discussants, cultural displays and royal engagements at the Palace.

Key highlights included media sensitization (Press Briefing), community participation (Panel Discussion) and the promotion of Benin heritage in line with the objectives of preserving culture and fostering unity. The Committee ensured proper co-ordination of logistics, security, hospitality and publicity for a seamless commemoration
