Great Benin Empire Rejects Proposed Traditional Rulers Council Leadership Structure

The United Kingdom of Great Benin Empire (UKGBE) has rejected the proposed leadership arrangement for Nigeria’s Traditional Rulers Council currently being debated in the Senate, describing it as “lopsided” and an affront to the country’s indigenous monarchies.

LANDMARK MOMENT IN HISTORY: EDO GOVERNMENT COMMENDS RESTORATION OF BENIN MONARCHY.

The Edo State Government has described the Restoration of Benin Monarchy in 1914 as a watershed in Benin history, acknowledging the significance of the event in shaping Benin Kingdom and cultural identity.
